The season kicks off with fantastic 10 day casual guided cycling tours from Matera in Basilicata to Salento and the tip of the heel of Italy, taking in the likes of Polignano, Conversano, Alberobello, Locorotondo and Ostuni along the way.

A handful of places are still available on 2 upcoming tours which depart on May 21st and June 16th 2010.

Highlights include a Bari walking tour, Pugliese cooking demonstration, walking tour of Alberobello, several decadent dinners at local establishments, professional olive oil tasting and walk in the olive groves, professional mozzarella making demo & tasting, farewell festivities and party.

To coincide with the launch, the company has also put together two new programs for 2010 – week long Culinary & Wine Immersions and Walk and Cruise featuring a restored antique motor yacht.

Run by founder Antonello Losito, a native Pugliese and former professional cyclist, together with Texan Michael Housewright, a 14 year wine, food, and travel professional, the philosophy of Southern Visions is to connect clients with exceptional travel experiences.
